Open Call for our 2024 Programme

Visual Art
We welcome applications from all visual art practitioners, organisations, groups of all levels in their career to submit a proposal to be part of MART’s 2024 gallery programme.
There are two streams to this Application.
1) Proposals that have funding already in place.
2) Proposals looking to form part of our application to the Arts Council of Ireland for funding towards the activities to be held in The MART Gallery Rathmines, Dublin in 2024.
Applications are welcome from anyone living in Ireland, the Irish abroad or any international artist abroad with the means to bring their exhibition to Ireland.
Disciplines Accepted under this proposal:
Performance, Painting, Drawing, Illustration,  Street, New Media, Printmaking, Sculpture, Contemporary Ceramics & Glass, Photography, Video Art / Experimental / Non Narrative Film. { email if your discipline is not listed and you feel it should be}
Applications are welcome for:
– An Exhibition [ 2-4 week run] [ solo / pair / group]
Once off or a series for any of the below:
– An Event
– A Talk
– A Seminar
– A Conference
– A Workshop
We have purposely kept the questions below to have short word limits to reduce work load on applicants. We will reach out to anyone we need further info on should we need it and successful applicants will be required to provide further details at a future date.
What happens if I’m Successful?
If successful your proposal will be submitted as part of MART’s 2024 Arts Grant Application for funding [should you need it] by the Arts council of Ireland.  Unfortunately this does not mean your activity will 100% be funded or necessarily happen. MART is not in a position to fund any activity without Arts Council funding.
Budget Guidance:
We strongly suggest all costs are accounted for and to assign costs that are needed to complete your activity. [more on this below] Please do not over estimate your costs, be realistic and of course everyone needs to be paid who is involved in the proposed activity.
How will MART decide?
The Directors of MART will assess each application and form a scoring sheet based on Feasibility, Artistic Merit and Suitability to MART’s Mission. We expect a large number of applicants so will not be able to provide individual feedback on any application.
Deadline : 1st November 2022
