Join MART’s Artist Membership

Join one of Irelands largest and longest running Artist led arts organisations to gain all the below benefits to assist your professional artistic career. MART began in 2007 and has supported its members and hundreds of artists through national and international exhibitions, studios, art fairs, projects, talks, workshops, professional development opportunities.
MART Artist Membership

MART Artist Membership is a not-for-profit annual professional membership programme for practising artists who want to connect with the MART community, develop their practice and take part in our annual members programme, with all membership income reinvested directly into delivering artist opportunities and membership activities.

Membership runs from January to December and costs €120 per year, equivalent to €10 per month, paid as one annual payment in November prior.

About MART Artist Membership

MART has always focused on supporting artists by providing space, opportunities and platforms to develop and present their work. However, we cannot provide a physical studio to every artist who would like one, nor do we have the capacity to programme exhibitions for everyone through our core gallery programme. MART Artist Membership is a way for us to support a wider community of practising artists beyond those based in our studio buildings. It provides artists with a platform to present their work, connect with other artists, access professional development and receive practical support for their practice. The membership allows us to extend MART’s support to more artists in a sustainable non profit way, while building a stronger and more connected artist community around the organisation.

What’s Included

MART Artist Members receive:

  • Inclusion in the annual MART Members Exhibition
  • A dedicated artist profile on the MART website
  • A featured MART Artist Member social media post
  • One one-to-one online mentorship session with a MART Director or invited advisor
  • Free access to 3 professional development workshops during the year
  • An informal networking gathering following each workshop
  • Access to 3 online professional talks with artists, curators and other arts professionals
Who Can Apply?

Applicants should be practising artists and must meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • Have participated in at least three exhibitions, or
  • Have completed an arts certificate, diploma or degree.
Membership Fee

€120 annually

The fee is paid in full in November for the following calendar year.

MART Artist Membership is operated on a non-profit basis. Membership income contributes towards the costs of delivering the programme, including workshop facilitators, guest speakers, administration, mentorship and the annual members exhibition.

Apply for 2027 Membership

Applications for MART Artist Membership are open until the closing date of 31st October 2026.

Please complete the application form below. Successful applicants will be contacted in November with the annual membership fee due.

Artists who cannot pay the membership in full may contact us to arrange a staggered payment.

2027 membership runs from 1 January to 31 December 2027.
